Day 1

So, day one is officially over and day 2 has started.

I'm very pleased with myself at the moment because yesterday I read 1 and a half books which surpassed my expectations. The first book i read was "Withering Tights" by Louise Renison. Louise Renison wrote the "Angus, Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging" series about Georgia Nicholson which I read from cover to cover twice when I was 14! Withering Tights did not disappoint me, there was humor on every page and it was so addictive I just couldn't put it down. The story is based on a 14 year old girl called Tallulah Casey who goes to a performing arts school in Yorkshire for the summer. The book follows her and her friends in a summer of laughs, romance and all around nonsense. Its a terrific book and I think its going to be the new Georgia Nicholson series.

The second book I started reading is called "The Return: Nightfall" by L.J.Smith which is the 5th book in the series of The Vampire Diaries. Although I have not yet finished the book I am completely captivated by the story and plot lines of this book. Even though The Vampire Diaries books are completely different to the TV show I enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy watching Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder bring the characters to life every Tuesday evening!

Summer Challenge

I recently watched the film"Julie & Julia" about a woman who decides to cook all of Julia Child's 524 recipes in 1 year. I loved the film, so made a decision of my own.

I am a massive book lover. I would prefer to spend an evening reading a book than going to the pub for a drink. Every year for my birthday and Christmas i get given books, which i then put on my shelf ready to read when i have the time. Over the past 2 years though, having to do my A Levels has set me back over 20 books.

26 books to be precise.

My summer challenge is to read 26 books in 60 days. Starting from July 9th 2012 and ending on September 7th 2012. Seen as i currently have no job and nothing to do this should be quite easy, although thinking about it, that's about a book every 2 days...and some of the books are very big....

Each time i finish a book, i'll post a picture of it and do a mini review.

Anyway, I've gone on for long enough, ta ta!
